Worldwide safety inspection

Recently CEO Joost Knoll visited the workshop of MAG in Grimma to personally inspect the compliance with Hertel HSE standards. Together with director Andreas Barg, and HSE coordinators Stefan Kühne and Alfred Lifka a tour through the facilities was made.

Joost Knoll: ‘Working safely is of utmost importance to Hertel. The industries that our clients and we ourselves operate in do not allow for any lapse in concentration. I can’t stress enough how important it is to think before acting and to be aware of the risks involved before starting work. Last January Hertel Germany drew up a safety action plan to improve the overall safety awareness and performance. Though there is still room for improvement, it is good to see that so much effort is put into increasing the safety awareness of all involved’.

In the MAG workshop over 120 well-trained craftsmen fabricate heat exchangers, high-pressure pre-heaters, nuclear waste containers and the like for the (petro) chemical and power industries.

Besides the personal aspect involved, having an excellent safety culture is a justified demand from Hertel’s customer base. Therefore our CEO Joost Knoll will conduct safety inspections in all our organisations over the world on top of the regular HSE inspections.
